Lauren joined Polaris in 2019 and serves as general counsel and chief compliance officer out of the San Francisco office. In this role, Lauren is responsible for supporting the firm on legal, compliance, and operational matters, including fundraising, fund management and deal structuring for portfolio financings and exits.
Prior to Polaris, Lauren was assistant general counsel of LendingClub Corporation, a publicly traded online lending company. At LendingClub, Lauren served as the lead attorney for the institutional investor business, which included providing guidance and support for all investor sales and structured financing transactions, strategic initiatives, and new products.
Before LendingClub, Lauren was an associate in the corporate department of Latham & Watkins LLP where she focused on the representation of public and emerging companies and their investors across the technology and life sciences industries. Prior to Latham, Lauren spent several years at Bain Capital, where she served in both legal and government affairs capacities. Lauren also interned with the Securities & Exchange Commission’s Division of Enforcement earlier in her career.
Lauren graduated from Harvard Law School and received a BA in history from Dartmouth College.
